Badgers’ Weissbach earns first star after scoring pair of goals in collegiate debut

First Star

Linus Weissbach, Wisconsin

F – Fr. – Gothenburg, Sweden

· Scored two goals in his collegiate debut, netting the Badgers’ second and third goals in a 3-2 win over Michigan Tech

· Scored his first power-play goal and first game-winning goal· Became first Badger to score two goals in his debut since Michael Davies scored two in a 3-0 win over Northern Michigan on Oct. 6, 2006

· Claims his first career weekly award

· Assisted the Badgers’ second goal, a power-play tally, for his seventh career multi-point game

· Earns his first career weekly award

· Assisted the second goal and game-winning goal for the Badgers in the season-opening win in the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game

· Recorded two assists for his 11th multi-point game in 31 career contests, one shy of current program leaders Cameron Hughes (103 games played) and Seamus Malone (71 games played)

· Claims his third career weekly award and first since Feb. 21, 2017 (Second Star)
