Mike Lucas offered his observations of the Wisconsin Badgers' huge road win over Xavier on Tuesday night, including a glowing review of the three stars of the 77-68 victory.
"Counted three times Brad Davison got the ball with the shot clock running down and he buried contested jumpers from the top of the key. What an invaluable asset along with everything else that does on both ends of the floor. Can’t underestimate his ability to get to the rim too"
"What was lacking most of last season was a consistent outside shooter (beyond Davison) to keep defenses from collapsing around Ethan Happ. It would appear that D’Mitrik Trice is applying for that role. If he can offer consistent perimeter threat it will open lanes inside for Happ"
"Even tho Xavier is in transition with its personnel and coaching staff, this road victory will loom larger for Badgers in March because it came against a tradition rich program in one of the most hostile arenas in the Big East regardless of the turnover on and off the floor."
