It took until the third round, but the first Wisconsin Badgers football player drafted in 2019 by the NFL was Michael Deiter to the Miami Dolphins.
Deiter, an All-American his senior season, started more career games (54) than any player in Wisconsin history. He did it all consecutively, and started at left tackle, left guard, and center in his Badgers career.
During his junior year, Deiter scored a touchdown on a gadget play, perhaps one of his more memorable moments as a Badger.
Deiter is second all-time in the Big Ten in starts behind former Ohio State lineman Billy Price, who started 55 games.
