Andrew Van Ginkel became the third Wisconsin Badger to be taken in the 2019 NFL Draft when the Miami Dolphins selected him in the fifth round. Van Ginkel will join Michael Deiter in Miami, as Deiter was picked in the 3rd round.
Van Ginkel was also the second Badgers player taken in the fifth round, only a handful of spots after Ryan Connelly went to the New York Giants.
Van Ginkel began his career at South Dakota before transferring to Iowa Western. The Iowa native made third-team All-Big Ten his senior year with the Badgers, and had 12 sacks in his career.
