David Edwards became the fourth Wisconsin Badger drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft when the Los Angeles Rams used a fifth-round selection on him.
Teammates Ryan Connelly (Giants) and Andrew Van Ginkel (Dolphins) were picked earlier in the round, and Michael Deiter, a fellow offensive lineman, was taken in the third round by Miami.
Edwards was an All-American tackle in 2017 and a two-time all-Big Ten selection. He played in 37 games (31 starts) in his three seasons playing at Wisconsin. Edwards missed the final three games of his final season in Madison due to injury. He left school with one season of eligibility remaining.
