The second Wisconsin Badger to be drafted in 2019 is linebacker Ryan Connelly, taken with the fifth pick of the fifth round by the New York Giants.
Connelly was a walk-on to the Badgers program out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He played in 52 games in his Badgers career with 26 starts, racking up 251 tackles in his time in Madison. He was All-Big Ten as a senior and a three-time academic all-Big Ten.
Teammate Michael Deiter was taken in the third round by the Miami Dolphins, making Connelly the second Badger selected in 2019's NFL Draft.
